We bring together diverse stakeholders across East Africa—civil society organizations, governments, private sector partners, and refugee-led groups—to create a unified voice for change. Through regular convenings, shared learning platforms, and joint advocacy initiatives, we strengthen collaboration and harmonize approaches to refugee economic inclusion across the region.

Our advocacy is grounded in rigorous research, data analysis, and documented experiences. We conduct policy assessments, labor market studies, and impact evaluations to build compelling cases for reform. By producing policy briefs, comparative legal analyses, and evidence reports, we equip advocates and policymakers with the information needed to drive systemic change.

We engage directly with governments, legislative bodies, and regional organizations to advance legal and policy reforms. Through structured dialogues, technical working groups, and high-level advocacy meetings, we present evidence, propose solutions, and support the development of progressive refugee labor policies that align with international standards and regional frameworks.

We strengthen the capabilities of member organizations, government officials, and refugee advocates through targeted training programs, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Our capacity-building efforts focus on advocacy skills, legal frameworks, policy analysis, and effective engagement strategies to ensure stakeholders are equipped to advance refugee rights at all levels.

We work with businesses and employers to demonstrate the value of inclusive hiring and create pathways for refugee employment. Through employer forums, business case development, and matchmaking initiatives, we connect employers with refugee talent while advocating for policies that remove barriers to formal employment and entrepreneurship.

We ensure refugees are at the center of all our work—not as beneficiaries, but as leaders, partners, and decision-makers. We prioritize refugee-led organizations in our consortium, create platforms for refugee advocates to influence policy, and amplify refugee voices in regional forums. By centering lived experiences, we ensure our advocacy reflects the realities and aspirations of refugee communities.
